Your First Visit
As a chiropractor, Dr. Lightstone uses the most up-to-date systems and technologies to assess the spine for dysfunction causing neurological compromise. This is known as vertebral subluxation and may contribute poor health outcomes.
A thorough examination allows Dr. Lightstone to determine whether your spine is healthy, the cause of poor health, or a health risk. An unhealthy spine may contribute to or cause disease, dysfunction, and (or) pain. Unhealthy spinal alignment causes damaging stresses and strains on the spine, discs, and surrounding ligaments, tendons, muscles, nerves, and spinal cord. Stress and strain to the spinal cord and (or) nerves can affect the strength and energy that passes from those nerves to the rest of your body.
Spinal Health Examination procedures include: health history, current complaint(s), review of systems, posture evaluation, x-rays, strength testing, ranges of motion, neurological scans, orthopedic and neurological testing, palpation, and disability impairment assessments depending on your presentation and status. The details of this exam allow Dr. Lightstone to determine what may be causing any condition(s), how it’s affecting your health, whether you are a candidate for care, and specifically what he can do to help.

Your health condition(s), goal(s), and challenge(s) are unique to you. Dr. Lightstone will review with you the findings from your spinal health examination and the best course of care for you. Dr. Lightstone’s office is extensively equipped to provide you with an individual program catered to your needs, abilities, and health goals using any combination of specific adjustments, exercises, traction, and therapies to correct and strengthen your spine and posture allowing your body to feel, move, and heal better.
Health Insurance and Costs of Care
Dr. Lightstone accepts all insurance providers. Dr. Lightstone is in-network with BlueCross BlueShield, UnitedHealthcare, and American Specialty Health Network. Please note that Medicaid is not accepted, which is frequently confused with Medicare. Dr. Lightstone’s team will verify your coverage, and provide an estimate of how much your insurance will cover.
Not everyone has insurance and sometimes it doesn’t make sense to use insurance. Rates are designed to get you the care you need without breaking the bank. Care plans will vary in price depending on the health condition(s), goal(s), and challenge(s). For patients who need extended or maintenance care we provide in and out of house financing. Out of house financing is available through CareCredit and Genesis and allows you to break up the cost of care into affordable monthly payments.
